Deepsea Liner Services
ECT is committed to handling each visiting sea-going vessel in the fastest, safest and most efficient manner possible. Situated directly on deep water, operations continue 24/7. Ultra Large Container Ships of 18,000+ TEU can moor alongside the quays in all circumstances, fully laden and without any tidal limitations or locks.
From the North Sea, ships are safely moored at the deep-sea terminals of ECT on the Maasvlakte within an hour. The depth along the quay is 19,7 metres. Even the largest vessels have unrestricted access. Many shipping lines therefore select the ECT terminals as their first and last port of call in Europe. As a result, the route via Rotterdam substantially shortens the transit times for cargo.
Rotterdam, with the eay accessible ports and the wide range of connections with the European hinterland, can truly be seen as 'the European Gateway'.
