EGS makes use of modernised wagon fleet of RTB CARGO
European Gateway Services’ (EGS) railpartner RTB CARGO completed the modernisation of its container wagon fleet. The RTB CARGO trains that EGS deploys in its network are now equipped with a highly modern fleet of wagons that offer advantages in terms of efficiency and noise emission.
Megabarge MS Southford part of EGS' intermodal network
Welcome to this new giant! We are happy to announce the MS Southford is new in the intermodal network of EGS. This megabarge has a length of 135m and can transport up to 6.400 tons and 500 TEU.

ECT and EGS open Hamburg office; Peter Nebel is local representative
At the end of 2021, ECT opened an office in Hamburg. With the opening of the Hamburg office, ECT aims to engage even more in a continuous dialogue with its customers and to participate in its customers' networks. Container transport by inland shipping on Flemish waterways above 1 million TEU
Last year, inland shipping on the Flemish waterways transported a total of 71.9 million tonnes, an increase by 4.23%. Container transport rose above the 1 million TEU mark for the first time. The Albert Canal is the most important transport axis (source: Flows.be)

EGS connects Austria with Rotterdam
EGS connects Austria with all deepsea terminals and several city terminals of Rotterdam, and vice versa. We offer high frequent rail and barge connections with Linz and Vienna. Austria is also connected with Rotterdam via Southern Germany. Regensburg. Munich and Kornwestheim are part of the EGS network. Next to rail and barge services we also offer additional services such as last mile trucking.
