EGS makes use of modernised wagon fleet of RTB CARGO
European Gateway Services’ (EGS) railpartner RTB CARGO completed the modernisation of its container wagon fleet. The RTB CARGO trains that EGS deploys in its network are now equipped with a highly modern fleet of wagons that offer advantages in terms of efficiency and noise emission. The line traction was already converted to the latest electric locomotives previously.
The locomotives and wagons are used in the European intermodal transport network of EGS. The trains of EGS connect the inland terminals of Venlo, Nuremberg, Regensburg, Kehl and Strasbourg with all deepsea terminals of the Port of Rotterdam.
EGS and RTB CARGO are thus continuing their long-standing cooperation to optimally use intermodal transport and further enhance sustainability.
With over 40 rail and more than 30 barge services every week, EGS sustainably connects the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp with an extensive European hinterland
