EGS provided synchromodal alternatives during the closure of the Havenspoorlijn in the port of Rotterdam. For example a barge/rail combination via Duisburg for containers to and from Nuremberg. Thanks to this route, customers could still have their import containers at the unloading address in time. In case of export containers, they were also on time to catch the deepsea vessel.
With this synchromodal way of container transport, we look at when a container has to be at which location, and EGS has a free hand in modality. We look for the most efficient route.
